How a CCTV drain survey works

We feed a waterproof camera on a flexible rod through the drainage system, recording footage as it travels through the pipe. This lets us see cracks, blockages, root intrusion, misaligned joints, or any other issue directly, rather than guessing based on symptoms alone. The footage gives a clear, documented view of the drain's actual condition.

What we find most often

Common issues a CCTV survey reveals include tree root intrusion into older clay pipes, particularly in properties with mature gardens, cracked or displaced pipe joints from ground movement over the years, grease and limescale buildup narrowing the pipe diameter, and structural collapse in older sections of pipe that have simply reached the end of their life.
