New Build & Renovation
New Build Plumbing Installation in Cheshire
Plumbing a new build property from scratch is a different job to working around existing pipework in an established home. There's an opportunity to plan the entire system properly from the outset, getting pipe runs, fixture positions, and system design right before walls are closed up and floors are finished, rather than working around decisions someone else made years earlier.
What new build plumbing covers
- Full first fix plumbing, running all supply and waste pipework before walls, floors, and ceilings are closed in
- Second fix plumbing, fitting all the visible fixtures and connecting them once the building is plastered and ready
- Heating system installation, including boiler, radiators, or underfloor heating depending on the design
- Hot water system installation, sized correctly for the property and household it's designed for
Why planning ahead matters on a new build
Because everything's being installed from a blank slate, decisions made early have knock-on effects throughout the project. Pipe sizing, the position of isolation valves, and how the system is laid out all affect how easy the property is to maintain for years afterward. We plan the whole system properly before starting first fix, rather than running pipework reactively room by room without a clear overall plan.
Working alongside the build programme
New build plumbing has to fit around other trades and the wider build schedule. First fix needs to happen at the right point relative to electrical first fix and before insulation and plasterboard go up. Second fix happens once decoration is largely complete. We're experienced coordinating timing with builders and other trades so the plumbing work doesn't hold up the wider programme.
Building regulations and sign-off
New build plumbing work needs to meet current Building Regulations, including Part G covering water efficiency and Part L covering energy performance for heating systems. We work to these standards as a matter of course and can provide the documentation needed for building control sign-off.
